MORE TO MAKE YOU LAUGH!
Faulanta told me a story about a Host Family she stayed with. When it was time to say goodbye the Host Family Auntie said something like, "You girls can stay here with me and I will send MY children on the bus instead." Faulanta responded by saying, "Yeah, then my Aunties and Uncles can teach your children good manners." AWESOME!

Just to make you laugh
JUST FOR LAUGHS
JACKIE USING FAULANTA AS HER PILLOW DURING NAP TIME!
It has finally warmed up a little here in Canada and I was wearing a short sleeve shirt the other day. Harriet came up to and grabbed my upper arm. She then looks at me and says, "Auntie Jenny, your arm is the same as my thigh." I told her to "Go away!"
HARRIET
Have I mentioned that Bridget has become my shadow? Maybe you have noticed that she is in so many of the photos on my blog. She is almost always by my side. When I left for vacation she actually cried and while I was gone she asked Auntie Terese to show her my picture because she missed me! Bridget wants to be an accountant when she grows up which makes me laugh because she is ALWAYS finding coins here and there! She finds them on our bus, in parking lots, or wherever we go. On her special day to receive a pop as a reward for good behavior she brought in a pocket full of change that she wanted me to use to buy her pop! So cute! Rather than have her keep money in her host family bag I now have a special little pocket for her in my computer bag I carry everywhere. She currently has 68 cents collected! :)
BRIDGET
The other day my phone rang while we were all out having a picnic on the church lawn. I had taken my shoes off to enjoy the warm grass under my feet but left my shoes behind to take the phone inside to chat with a church about an upcoming concert. While I was finishing the conversation the children finished up their picnic lunch and were packing up and loading the bus. The next thing I knew Bridget was under the table where I was sitting chatting on the phone and she was putting my socks and shoes on me! What a funny little sweet girl!

Finally! A Warm Day in Canada
Monday, May 12, 2008
While the choir was in Alberta a dentist offered to take a look at our kids teeth. This was truly an answered prayer as the kids and adults had been praying for God to provide a dentist for us. Many of the kids got teeth pulled, cavities filled, and teeth cleaned. It was especially important to a few of our Kenyan kids who had teeth that were badly stained by the water in their village. Unfortunately, I missed all the fun because I was at home on vacation. Enjoy these photos and take note of all the future dentists!

BRIGHT EYES & BEAUTIFUL SMILES!
Aren't these children beautiful? I wish I could say I took these photos but I didn't. Mike from our office took them back in February. Words cannot express the amazing privilege it is to spend so much time with these precious children of the Lord! Enjoy these bright eyes and beautiful smiles!
