LET IT SNOW!!!!!!
We stayed at King Solomon Camp in Abilene Kansas the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. We woke up to a couple inches of nice wet snow on the ground Sat. morning. The children were amazed and had a blast making snowballs, snowmen, and sledding all for the first time ever. What a joy it is to experience God's world together!

Thanksgiving Slumber Party
THANKSGIVING SLUMBER PARTY
Because it is hard for churches to get "host families" to host us during the Thanksgiving weekend we spent Wed. and Thurs. nights together sleeping in a church gym. It was actually quite alot of fun to be all together again like we were when the children first arrived in the US. I also enjoyed having full reign in the church kitchen. I had some girls, Christine, Margaret, and Harriet help me make hot chocolate for everyone and after the kids went to bed I made some "real" popcorn on the stove for the Aunties and Uncles. We took advantage of a little free time and let the children watch The Sound of Music and Cinderella. It was nice to just cuddle up with some kids on the couch and relax! We also gave the children new Bibles that a church donated to us. It was such a joy to hear them cheer and shout their thankfulness! This is their first full Bibles as they were using the little Gideon Bibles that just have a New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. Enjoy the pictures!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
God is so good to me! I have so much to be thankful for! Everyday I am amazed at the wonderful, indescribable experiences God is givIng me with 26 little children from across the world. Here are some thankful thoughts from Auntie Jenny:
-Traveling with a host family to their home with Jerome saying, "You can have my coat Auntie Jenny." when I mentioned that mine was on the bus and then having him try to actually give it to me when we got out of the car.
-The way Joseph always shows up at my side, with a grin, when I am eating something yummy that he would like to try. (Most of the time I can't resist and give him a bite or two!)
-The way I call Jane "my little bunny foo foo" and she calls me "Auntie Jenny foo foo"
-The suprise I got when I was laying in Jackie's bed waiting for the girls to finish in the shower to wake up to little Jackie jumping on top of me! Good thing she's our littlest girl!
-Having Jackie snuggle with me because she was "fearing" during the IMAX movie we went to last week! She was on my lap with her arm around my neck and Margaret was next to me holding onto my arm for dear life!
-I love the way these children look at one another as brothers and sisters! And they actually get along so incedibly well that it seems impossible! Here is a picture of Faulanta and Joseph before the IMAX movie started:
-and this is them after the movie started:
I guess for a first movie an IMAX theater was a little extreme!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
OH MAGNIFY THE LORD WITH ME, AND LET US EXALT HIS NAME TOGETHER. I SOUGHT THE LORD AND HE HEARD ME, AND DELIVERED ME FROM ALL MY FEARS. PSALM 34:3-4

My how you've grown!
Have you ever wondered what it's like to keep up with clothing 26 growing kids?? I hadn't either....until a few weeks ago when I started seeing this:
Julian has grown about 3 inches! I gave her a new pair of pants that fit in length but are pretty big at the waist. She has to wear a belt with them and they are all bunched up. When she was trying them on she said, "Auntie, when I get fat these will catch me?"

A DAY OFF
Staff days off while on tour are interesting: no vehicle or home of your own. Thankfully I have had mostly wonderful experiences on my Tuesday days off. Sometimes families have extra cars that they let us borrow (we love these generous people!). Other times we just hang out together at a host families home. Half of us staff have Tuesday off and the others on Thursday. It is nice to spend time with the other chaperones and get to know them more. Here are pictures from my last day off....I was staying with a host family (and there cute dog!). I spent the morning with Max (the dog), my Mac, and a good book. When I look at this first picture I realise that tour life has really changed me....look how I made the bed and have my pajamas neatly folded at the end of the bed! The children are rubbing off on me!
